Frequently Asked Questions
How is each workshop organized?
Each session is divided into two parts with a 10-min break in between. The first portion focuses on guided content and key concepts. The second portion is dedicated to discussion, reflection, and exploring how the material applies in real-world contexts.
How do I join the program?
Start by completing the application form. If it's a good fit, you will be contacted via email within 1-3 days to schedule a virtual interview.
What will the initial virtual interview be like?
The initial call will take place over Zoom. During this conversation, we'll review your application together, talk through your goals, and explore what you are hoping to get out of the program. It's also an opportunity to ensure we are a good fit to work together.
If your goals or project fall outside the scope of this program, you'll be made aware and encouraged to explore options that may better support your path.
Is there an agreement to sign?
Yes. All accepted participants are required to sign a Participant Agreement prior to starting.
This agreement outlines expectations, participation guidelines, conduct standards, and coaching terms.
How do we pay once accepted into the program?
If you are accepted into the program, you will receive an invoice with Interac e-transfer details. We currently do not accept credit card payments.
A 50% deposit is required via e-transfer to secure your spot. The remaining balance can be paid in full upfront or arranged through a payment plan if needed. Full payment must be completed at least 15 days before the program start date.
Is there a buddy discount?
Yes. If you register with a friend, you will each receive $100 off your tuition.
Both participants must apply and be accepted. Once confirmed, the discount will be applied to each registration.
Are there any other discounts available?
No additional discounts are available. This program is already offered at a reduced founding cohort rate. The regular program price will be $1,444 in future cohorts.
Who can apply for this cohort?
This cohort is currently open to Canadian students only.
What does the 1:1 coaching include?
Each participant receives 6 private coaching sessions (approximately 1 hour per session) for personalized guidance, feedback, and direction. These sessions are designed to review your work, help you find solutions to questions, and support your next steps while you take the lead on your ideas and projects.
Coaching sessions begin in week 2. The sessions will take place throughout the program, with the final session scheduled 2-4 weeks after the program ends to support you as you wrap up and integrate your work.
Coaching times are flexible, with availability on weekdays and weekends, in the mornings or afternoons, and some evenings.
You will also have access to email support throughout the program if questions come up between sessions.
What if I don’t have a clear idea yet?
That is completely fine. The program is designed to help you explore your interests and develop direction over time.
Do I need to finish my business setup or website by the end of the program?
No. There's no expectation to have everything fully completed by the end. You are encouraged to move at your own pace, as each idea, business, or direction will develop differently. The focus is on building clarity, momentum, and a strong foundation you can continue working on after the program ends.
Will I be required to get insurance or open a business bank account?
This depends on where you are in your business development and what your specific project requires. Some participants may choose to set up insurance or a business bank account if they are preparing to launch or operate more formally after the program, but this is not required to participate. Guidance will be provided based on your individual goals and stage of development.
Will we have time to develop our social media presence during the program?
We will cover the foundations of social media strategy within the program, including how it fits into your overall business or project. However, the depth of your social media development will depend on how much time you choose to dedicate outside of the sessions.
The focus during our time together is on building strong foundations so you leave with clarity, direction, and the core pieces in place to continue developing and sharing your work after the program ends.
What type of website will we be building?
Students may work with platforms such as Wix, Squarespace, or Shopify, depending on their goals and the type of project they are building. We will explore the best option for each individual venture and decide together what makes the most sense.
The choice of platform will depend on your level of tech comfort, the needs of your project, and your ability to support any associated costs such as subscriptions or tools. The focus is always on choosing something simple, sustainable, and realistic for where you are right now.
What happens if I miss a session?
Our virtual group learning workshops are not recorded to respect participant privacy, so full attendance is strongly encouraged. If you miss a session, your 1:1 coaching sessions will be used to help you catch up and stay aligned so you don't fall behind.
Coaching sessions can't be rescheduled if missed, so it's important that you attend at your scheduled time.
What's the refund policy?
Because spots are limited and reserved in advance, refunds are structured based on timing.
If you choose to withdraw more than 14 days before the program start date, you are eligible for a full refund. If you withdraw within 14 days of the start date, a 50% refund will be issued.
Once the program has begun, no refunds are available.
Who is this best suited for?
This program is best suited for individuals who are open, willing to participate, and ready to take responsibility for their own progress.
Do I need prior experience?
No experience is required. You will be supported at the stage you are currently at.
How can I get the most out of each workshop?
Join each session from a quiet space where you can focus, listen, and participate fully.
Come prepared to engage for the full duration of the workshop. Having water, snacks, and anything you need nearby will help you stay present and comfortable.
Keep a notebook or digital document open to capture key ideas and questions as they come up. These can be explored during the discussion portion of the session or brought into your 1:1 coaching sessions if applicable.
Using headphones with a microphone is recommended to support clear communication and a smoother group experience.
Do I need to participate in the group workshops with my camera on?
For those who prefer not to participate on camera, you are welcome to keep your camera off and engage using audio and the chat function.
Is this program neurodivergent-friendly?
Yes. This program is designed with flexibility, clarity, and different learning styles in mind. We recognize that people process information and engage in learning in different ways, and we aim to create a supportive, grounded environment that allows participants to engage at their own pace while still feeling guided and supported throughout the experience.
